Compared to all the long-time veterans on this list, this is only my fourth year at it (Wednesday night racing). For three years before buying my 30-1 this year, I crewed on OPBs - Merit 25s, J/22s, Capri 22s as trimmer, helmsman, and sometimes foredeck.
And Chuck, you sly dog. You never let on that you race with a guy named Rob Ball. I've got one of his drawings hanging as art in the cabin of my boat, titled "Sail Plan - 24'9" LWL Auxiliary Sloop for C&C Yachts", dated December 22, 1970.
