The MarineBeam nav products I got are rated to 3NM, rather than the 2NM for 
most others.  I have to say, they’re very bright and very visible from a 
distance.  I have concerns about the distant visibility of the single-LED 
solutions like the Orca Green:

Having a small point-source light that doesn’t seem to me to be the best option 
over a longer distance.  I like the way MarineBeam uses many LEDs with various 
orientations to spread the very focussed light that LEDs produce over a larger 
area.  And having seen several versions of LED anchor lights in the anchorage 
this past weekend, you really see the differences between them.  The 3NM 
MarineBeam really pops, even a mile or so away.
