There is a perspective that I have yet to see anyone express: even if this CV-19 mostly kills elderly folks with existing pre-conditions, it is still hard on the younger set when they get it. That still includes doctors, nurses, dentists and ambulance drivers. If they’re sick, who will handle the non-covid afflictions (i.e. heart attacks, strokes, the car wreck victims and the kids with broken bones)? Broken dentures anyone?
One of my daughters had something really bad in the early part of March. She said that her lungs spasmed and felt like they were on fire. She’s 34. How old is your doctor or dentist? She tested negative for flu and strep so the hospital sent her home. The CV-19 tests were in short supply and she was still ambulatory. She had to teach her four year-old how to make formula for her eight month-old. She’s feels 100% recovered NOW but it was a scary week for us all. We just can’t break our healthcare system (it’s half-broken already). Besides, the cost of treatment could bankrupt you. Aren’t we supposed to leave our money to our kids instead? Don’t think this is fake news. There is a big problem with spread down there according to cnn. Here we are advised to isolate. Stay home that is unless we have to go out in society for essential business. Sailing is not essential. Many of us expect to miss the 2020 sailing season altogether.
