I would stick with the VC 17 . It is designed to wear away and not build up . Most other bottom paints will build up on the bottom and eventually will need to be removed. I just burnish the old VC 17 with a scotch brite pad . If you put the paint into a mustard bottle and squirt a bit onto a foam roller . You can make the paint last a lot longer . >
