You should consider trying cocoabuilder.com. That list archive/search functionality is great.

If you searched using the archive search form, then that's broken. You have to use google or some search engine that keeps itself up-to- date.

For some unknown reason, the Archive Search's index finds nothing for the past several years. Simple test: search for the keyword "cocoa", then display the results by date. Note nothing newer than 2005.

Yet going to the following URL clearly shows archives more recent than 2005.

 http://lists.apple.com/archives/cocoa-dev/

Conclusion: Apple's Archive Search is fubar.
