That's what I meant by "when editing ends". The point was that validation doesn't occur keystroke by keystroke when "Validates immediately" is checked, even though it would be a reasonable guess from the title of the checkbox. If "Validates immediately" is *not* checked, no automatic verification occurs at any time. In that case, I assume, you're expected to trigger validation of all relevant fields manually at some point.
