No, it's not. It specifically refers to the writing direction, NOT the text alignment. Values in this enum are valid for NSParagraphStyle.baseWritingDirection right out of the bag, and when combined with NSTextWritingDirectionOverride or NSTextWritingDirectionEmbedded can be used with the NSWritingDirectionAttributeName key.
