@DanielLeens I reworked the collection path based on your review The worker operation now returns the progress batch directly without sending a nested RPC back to the master. The coordinator submits all worker requests first and handles each completion independently, so one slow or failed worker does not block the others. SnapshotSplitAssigner now maintains active splits incrementally, so progress polling no longer scans the full assigned split history under the checkpoint lock. I added coverage for immediate worker failures, timeouts, restore behavior, completed splits and large completed split history. The focused engine tests and all 69 CDC base tests pass locally.
