I'm israel olalla program manager at newknow (www.newknow.com), we are using
http-client as part of our spider. We have developed a Knowledge Management Suite. Our
porject is a propietary software but we try to help, usually will see patches sended
by Armando (Great Guy!!!).
We have life references at Oracle, T-systems, Generalitat (Local Government)
and soon Ferrovial. Http-client is part of our project since 2.0 (current release) and
now is downloading more than 10.000 urls per day in some of our customers.
Http-Client community has developed a deep, complete and elegant solution to a
very common but not very well solved problem, and the most important has developed a
sharing community where ideas/bugs/patches/solutions flow and improve without
limitations the software.

Slide includes a webdav API, but also a cm API and a webdav server.
What do you think about following wording:
Jakarta Slide is an open-source project composed of multiple modules tied
together using WebDAV. It includes a CM API, a WebDAV server, WebDAV client
APIs, J2EE compliant stores and more.
