IMHO the proposal makes this better, not worse. The homepage decision seems to have already been made.
would like to propose the creation of the 'community.apache.org' web site.
Currently, some people have their apache homepage on www.apache.org/~name
and some on cvs.apache.org/~name and some don't have it.
I have the same concerns as Justin. I'm not to keen on this idea: -0.
community.apache.org just makes it more clear IMHO.
