letting them know about the map and how to get on it?' rather than
'let's use information we have about committers to just plop them on
the map.'
That might get some additional people on the map. Would it be a good idea to have the world map feature prominently on the apache.org site? That would illustrate the fact that we're a global community and be good PR.
