Ever tried installing XP on a 12 year old PC? Ever tried internetting on a 12 year old pc? You know why it crashes? Because MacWeb is a really old browser that is not compatible with most modern websites. You can't expect miracles then, can you? The fact that the classic crashes has nothing to do with the hardware inside it. That might have been outdated, but that doesn't mean that it is bad. What is this stupid talk anyway? You're driving a T-Ford and complaining about not being able to win the grand prix 2002. You complain about slow startup speeds? Well that is your punishment for running system 7 on a Mac Classic. > > My goodness! if I don't get satisfactory performance and reliability > from > this machine, I think I am going to toss it after all! If you wanna have satisfactory performance and reliability, forget about running a webbrowser on a computer that was build in a time that the world wide web wasn't even invented yet. Well, even if we had Mac dealers where we live, they wouldn't be of much help with our SE's and SE/30's. Support for those machines stopped years ago. > > In closing, I am pretty sure there were worse Apple Computers, but they > sure are getting better!
