I have 2 points:

1 - it's too big. I have a 500MB in my 50MHz SE/30 and System 7.1 and
all the software I have rattle around like a pea in a can in that space.
a 4.3GB drive is not only a massive overkill but also, as Will says, a 3
partition job to get working in earlier System versions.

2 - Watch the spin-up time. I tried to put a 1GB Seagate HAWK in my
SE/30 (I was playing!!) and it took so long to spin up my SE/30 didn't
see it as it did not register a 'ready' signal in time for the SCSI
manager to see it.
