Thanks to William Ahearn, I have a nice SE/30, 32/500. It worked fine for a while, though developed a floppy drive problem. I replaced the drive and adjusted the screen a bit for centering(didn't make it too wide or stretch it to the edges or anything like that), and everything was terrific until one day recently....
I did not get a startup bong, and got a pattern with sort of dangling chain-like curtain made up of thin vertical lines. After switching it off and on periodically, I finally got it to boot and it ran fine for a day or two. Then, finally, I got the bad symptoms back again, and have not been able to reboot it since. I can hear HD activity when the curtain-like screen comes on, but that soon stops. and still no bong. PRAM battery is good. I have looked thru Dead Mac Scrolls, and do not see this symptom(screen pattern) described. Any ideas? Do I have to replace a capacitor or the whole analog board?
