with a spare mobo you should definitely be set, but it's worth trying
the other fixes first since dirty rom/ram simms would be a problem
either way.

if you wind up not needing the se/30 board you should be able to sell it
on the swap list, assuming you don't want it as a spare.  if you found a
straight se you could put it in that as well, apple actually offered it
as an upgrade at one point.
