The Plus was in production from 1/1986 until 10/1990, a run of over 4.5 years making it one of the longest production runs of any Mac.
By this time the SE (3/87-8/89) run had ended, the SE FDHD (8/89-10/90) finished production at the same time as the Plus.


The Classic (10/90-9/92) started production at this time while the SE/30 (1/89-10/91) continued for 11 months to be replaced by the Classic II (10/91-9/93). You would look to the Macintosh II/Quadra series to replace the SE/30 not the Classic II of course. ;)
