A bad Mac isn't how long it lasted.  Instead, I would
argue that a longer lasting machine is better--the
better built, the longer it would last.

Also, the SE lived on, in the SE/30, which is one of
the best Macs ever.  128MB of ram in that little baby.
 I know I love mine.

The main reason that the classic is a road apple is
that it was, as far as I know, intentionally crippled.
 An arbitrary RAM ceiling, slower internal parts, etc.
 Basically, on a pure spec level, crap, even when it
was released brand new.
