The last I heard of my Comcast service, it was 6 mbs down, 768 kbs up.
Basically, my throughput has seemingly doubled.
Besides turning green with envy, have you downloaded large files over it and clocked the results? I'm interested because (obviously) I'm not a cable guy but I'll switch horses if it means that kind of speed. The best I can get over DSL in DC is 3 mbps. Which doesn't suck but it isn't even close to your speed. Of course it's $30.00 a month, which helps. FiOS would be great, but it's not available here.
