it's not because external events make triggering a bug in another package more easier or difficult that the bug is in the event source package. devfs implementation was crappy with scores of arguments in every function in case someone want to add X, Y, or Z feature some day (a lot of cleanups has been done in 2.5.x). the odds're high that there're bugs there and andrey explanation does not look stupid to me.
