I forgot to say, you need to explicitly pass --sysconfdir=%{_syscondir}
to configure. I thought the %configure macro did this but it doesn't work.

/usr/share/doc/MPlayer is obviously the wrong place for these. I think we
agree that they need to be in /etc to be FHS compliant. BTW, I think
rpmlint gives a stupid error if you have a *directory* in /etc, even
though that's perfectly legal.
