This is a bug and should be fixed.  If you don't have something
constructive to add don't post.  There's no reason he should have to
"ignore it like everyone else."  It should have been fixed a long time
ago in cooker.  Hell 8.2 has an updated setup package to fix it and it's
included in 8.2's errata.
