-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I would consider the Sony and perhaps Dell. As Jason said mine fell to pieces while ejecting the CD-RW drive and then there were the marathon phone tag sessions trying to get in touch with someone to get the issue resolved. Originally I had an 8000 and every piece of hardware worked just fine. When Dell finally got off of their high horse thanks to Jason they replaced it with a refurbished 8100. The only piece of hardware that will not work is the modem, a 3Com winmodem. Suspend almost works but I can not be in X. For me suspend is a minor feature and overall I am much more satisfied with the Inspiron 8100 than the uninspiring Inspiron 8000. Another option might be IBM. They cost a small fortune but they are bulletproof. YMMV.
