Hi Mark,
stereo worked for me with Tiger using Apple's X11, at least on an Intel
Mac Pro with a Nvidia Quadro card (and works still with Snow Leopard).
It is important to connect the stereo-capable CRT to the first DVI
socket of the graphics card (the one closer to the case edge - you may
have to reconnect the monitor(s)), and choose a resolution for the CRT
that permits a 120 Hz vertical refresh rate. For 1280x960 pixels, a
horizontal refresh rate of ~130 kHz is needed for the CRT monitor, which
is usually the limiting parameter.

to be installed. When I installed XCode 2.5 (the latest version compatible with
Tiger), and then Coot, it runs.
What doesn't work is the stereo in Coot - if someone knows how to get this
working on a ppc under Tiger, please let me know.
