Just to keep our local airport fellas jealous about the Coupe, as I approach the airport, I always stick my mic lightly into the wind as I transmit, just to rub it in that my canopy is open on pretty days. Us Coupers always have a nice tan on our face as opposed to the pale skinned high wingers. Some of the local pilots thought I was always showing off on my short downwind to final turn (since we dont fly about 5 miles downwind before turning to base), but once they fly it they realize that the Coupe likes that approach. I also set them up high on final for the hands extended descent. Always gets a big smile. About a week later I have seen Cessna fellas trying the same short base to final turn, only to have to go around. The only problem I have had with persons and opinions about the Coupe is every time I walk out to my plane, there is a line of high time Cessna pilots behind me wanting to go along.
