So far I've logged time in three types. The C150, C172 and Cherokee
Warrior.
As I said I really like the feel of the 150. It's light and nimble and
just
plane fun. The only problem I have with it is, no matter how often I've
tried, I can't get my chair in one.

I don't particularily care for the 172 or the Piper. They both seemed
heavy
and stiff to me. Kind of have that "pickup truck" feel to 'em. I also find
the ground handling more difficult with the Piper. I've never used hand
controls
in the Piper (I was flying dual with my CFI) so I don't know if that would
make
it easier to turn during taxi.

I'm not saying that either are bad airplanes. They just don't appeal to me
that much. I would not hesitate to fly either one if I needed a back seat.

As for Mooney...I don't expect to ever fly one. (At least not until I win
the
King give away. ;-).)

Okay, I'm game....
Try it Mikey, you'll like it!! I looked for a long time when I
finally got fed up with renting and
decided to buy a plane. I flew a lot of different planes but none of them
were 'just right' for me.
They were all fun but they just didn't 'grab me'. I went up with a friend
in his Ercoupe and after
about 15-20 minutes in the air we landed and I wrote him a check for the
coupe and the hangar. Boy did
it 'Grab me'. That was 15 years ago and I still have the same plane.
(With no intentions of moving down
to any other brand.)
Okay gang, jump in there and 'critique' me.
