John; The elevator cables on a Coupe are 5/32 inch in diameter. I had to buy two tension meters in order to have one big enough to handle the 5/32 cable. You are exactly correct that the tension is the same on both cables (as long as the bell crank is symmetrical) The maintenance manual calls for a tension of 160 to 190 pounds.
