You think you have problems!

I own a Longeze.   One day I pushed the top cowling over the engine
and secured it.   What I had not noticed was that the cowling 
normally scrapes against the oil filler cap.  That gradually rotates the
cap.   On that particular day the cap was loosened completely and
the cowling lifted it off the filler tube.  The result was a perfect 90
degree bend in the dipstick and it was left dangling, half way out
of the filler tube.   That I discovered the next day.   I was lucky that I
did not try to fly it.
