I did the same thing about a year ago! Added some oil and then walked 
away to get a rag or something and got distracted for a bit.Went back to 
the Coupe and buttoned up the cowl. Five min. after takeoff got to 
thinking about the cap-went back and landed and had oil all over the 
engine area. Boy I really felt stupid - flying for 40 yrs. and doing a 
dumb thing like leaving the cap off. I have always had a rule about 
COMPLETING a task before leaving it.  Ignore the rules and you will get
