Jan/Syd;    I am not recommending that anyone make the adjustment by 
themselves. However, since I do work alone 95% of the time, I found that
if 
you unfasten the cowling prior to engine start (make sure the airplane is 
secured from moving [chocks/tiedowns/etc]) you do not have to get as close
to 
the prop. The cowling does not tend to move much, even at full power, so
it 
can be left unfastened. You can hear the engine change speeds easily, so
the 
adjustment can be done by one person with careful planning and actions.
