My engine is a C90. My normal CHT for the hottest cylinder normally
runs between 375 and 425 indicated. On climb out to 4000-6000 feet I
sometimes indicate as much as 500 in the summer, and once this is
reached I usually slow the climb a bit. I have been told by both Alcor
(the maker of my guage) and by my I/A that the type probe I have reads
as much as 50 degrees higher than the actual cylinder head temp.
Therefore my actual temps probably run 30 degrees or so less.
