I do beg to differ with the no stall "wis-dum" just a little

You can beat this to death, but you will still impact the ground and die
if
proper recovery methods are not employed.
The Ercoupe will not stall/spin (without a lot of help) but, it will stop
flying and mush to the ground at about 1500 feet per minute. In this
non-flying mode you have full directional control. So this makes the
Ercoupe a "ton" of fun once you master this mush...

The D model with a O-200, can hold controls full aft to the stop, and hold
altitude with the indicator showing ZERO.
I am not sure what the 75/85 can do never tried it.

I guess my point is the ercoupe doesn't stall but it can mush right into
the
ground and it would be bad to think you are totally safe because you can't
stall.

Ercoupe's and coupers are a bit different... the real world "Speed Kills"
in
a Ercoup "Lack of Speed Kills"

Just more noise
Ron
