----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- JOA, Had the same thing happen about a year after I had mine. Turned out to be the gear on the starter bendix. Luckily a fella on field had one and we
swapped it out. No problems since. He told me horror stories about the
bendix
dropping it's pieces in the case and lunching a perfectly good engine.
Secondly... whatever it is... Make sure you do a couple quick oil changes
to
get the debris of whatever is grinding out of the oil and away from the
expensive stuff.
