Hello, Well I did one time around the pattern today and it was sure bumpy! Landed okay and put the plane away. Went back to the hangar tonight and found that the center section skin has cracked along 3" of the stringer on the left, the first stringer out from the diagonals, right up to the rear spar. Does this happen a lot? Should I be concerned? I was sure not too happy to see a crack in my plane! Does anybody know how expensive it would be to get this skin replaced? It is looking pretty awful, not too smooth. Got a mirror in there and the spar looks fine, as best as I could tell. I think maybe it was weak to start out with at that spot, I noticed the paint was a little bubbly. I hit one really awful bump and I think that's what did it. It was not cracked the night before (I am a real neurotic airplane owner, go over it after every flight.....) PS Thanks for advice on fuel fittings and landing lights! Thanks, Glen
