During the refurbishment of the tail section (elevator and stabilizer) of my Coupe I filled a three pound coffee can and then some with mud dauber nests that I removed from the interior of the stabilizer. I have not done the wings yet and expect the same. Down here in Georgia, if you drill a hole in anything it will be filled with mud by morning. I intend to cover the holes in the rear of the stabilizer as well as in the wings when I recover the wings. Four pounds of mud at twenty feet from the CG adds up. Have you looked inside of your stabilizer lately??
