Dave, Don't believe everything you read! Especially on this site. Some of the people on this list are the genuine article. Honest, trusting, informative, and dull. The rest of them are Rabble Rousers, and trouble makers. You can only believe half of what they say. The rest is included to make this interesting. Be assured that you can believe some of what you read, and none of the rest. Be also assured that you will be entertained. As far as Ercoupes go, I don't know what other 53 year old plane will be any more trouble free, or less trouble for that matter. I bought mine simply because I wasn't willing to rent a bird, but if I own one, I fly.
