I thought the Franklin was a good chioce for a replacement whan the price for a new one was under 8k These guys want 15-16k and that does not include a STC cost...
It is looking like the O-200 is still the way to go.... Bummer the thought of a new engine for under 10K got me excited... but My O-200 is good for another 1000 hours or so... that give me 4-5 years to save up... ----- Original Message ----- From: Tom Laird-McConnell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, November 12, 1999 9:11 AM Subject: RE: Franklin Engine? > http://www.newaviation.com/engines.html > > I believe they are making a STC for the Ercoupe > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Friday, November 12, 1999 3:49 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: Franklin Engine? > > > In a message dated 11/11/99 9:01:23 PM Central Standard Time, > [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: > > << Is there an STC for an Ercoupe with a Franklin engine? 125 HP?? > That would make it climb pretty good would it not. >> > > Paul > There is one being developed.
