It hits the fence at the end of the runway for the same reason it can be landed at 110+ mph. Once on the ground the wing does not develop lift due to a 0 to negitive angel of attack. (but this only works in a properly rigged coupe) I hope you are not claiming that the trust angle is holding the coupe to the ground. ----- Original Message ----- From: robert stemme <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Ron Burke <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, August 30, 1999 1:50 PM Subject: Re: Safety > Ron....The reason the coupe will go through the fence is not any cuff in > the wing but because the center line of the crankshaft is canted down so > that you need to pull back on the controls to fly the coupe off the > runway....it is also canted to the side which ofsets P factor and > releives you of needing rudders.....but it is all done in engine angle > rather than wings...Bob > > Jan and Bob Stemme 1316 Summer Circle > Drive Box491 > Okoboji, Iowa 51355 Phone 712-332-7979 >
