I just purchased my second Ercoupe. I passed on two with metal wings and bought a rag wing. I have removed the covering and am able to inspect the wings. On the metal wing, even with all the holes for inspection it is not possible to see every thing. Also I believe rag wings have less chance of corrosion because they are not as tight.
