What do you mean by "Typical 150"?  I've flown 
over a thousand hours in several 150's, and they all
carried more weight, climbed better, and handled better 
than our M-10.  There's nothing wrong with 150's.  If
that's all a guy wants, or can afford, good for him.

BTW if they had flaps down, the climb rate suffers.  Short
ground roll does not equal climb performance.
