Keith, WE do fly with our canopy, open on our alon. We take off with it open.
Have found it a little tough to close in flight. About 3 years ago the plane 5691F. was flying in southeren Cal. and open the canopy... not sure how he had it latched... he said he open one latch and air got under it.... by the time he got the other one open it was gone. Missed his tail section but had no canopy.... it either took just the glass or all.... not sure been a while. He said he had slowed it down below the 100 mph... when this occured. Here on the coast seldom have a need for it open.. Audean Woollard N6596Q
