Personally, I prefer EAA over AOPA. EAA is more of a "grass roots" organization with a focus on issues that interest me from the point of view as an owner/pilot/antique & classic enthusiast. AOPA does a lot of good for aviation as a lobbying organization (politics) but has more of a "high buck" and corporate flavor. Jim N-87112
