I'm late getting in on the Osh thread, but though I would mention that
when 
I attended S&F two years ago I had to join the EAA to get on the flight 
line.  They had attendents checking the gate between the display area and 
the flight line.  I thought it made sense, although I saw several
non-pilots 
express disappointment because they were not aware prior to entry how many

more planes  they could have seen on the flight line if they had joined.
It 
seems to me that a "flight line pass", at an extra cost, that had the
added 
benefit of being a 3 month membership, would be more appealing than a 
mandatory membership.  But generally, its not a bad idea, especially if
the 
flight line ticket has some do's and don'ts listed.
