All 'coupe models I've seen have an unenclosed battery box which looks like it is set up for a manifolded battery, yet I have never seen anything but a "normal" battery in any 'coupe I've looked at. I also haven't checked the type certified battery part numbers to see if they were manifolded. Is almost everyone flying around with illegal batteries?
I avoided the problem by installing one of the Concorde
no-maintenance (fully absorbed electrolyte) types.
Unfortunately, it isn't STC'ed for 'coupes - probably no one
has asked them as it's STC'ed for almost everything else.
