Just out of curiosity, ask your husband to think for a minute before he answers, then be totally honest with himself and you, does he really believe that he is safer, in case of a crash, by not having the shoulder harnesses in his plane? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Wish you hadn't asked that question..??? My husband believes in seat belts.. it kept him in the plane when his head went thru the canopy at Columbus. Missouri.... He just this am said and I quote. " That the money would be better spent for instructions on how to make off airport landings in order to keep your face out of the controls and panel." He has all too vivid of a memorial of Charlie Hillard, not to long ago. Charlie suffocated in his harness when his fighter overturned at the edge of the runway. He isn't objecting to the seat belt that comes over one shoulder like the car it is the harnesses... that he is objecting to he also said "try to pick up your chart map if it drops on the floor". The top of the ercoupe/aircoupe isn't very strong at all.... if it had some type of heavier material or a roll bar maybe he would feel different. He was the one digging his-self out of the flatten top of that plane, the dirt came into the cock pit... and he was trapped until he dug his self out of a very small crawl space... He is 6' 5" tall.. I sent the pictures to those that asked,? it isn't a pretty site. Audean Woollard N6596Q
