Peter Just rent one from the airport in LA or SF. Rental car companies also rent them, very cheap to use. Buying one is a bit expensive and you'll most likely need a US address, even on pre-paid.

Does anyone know if the US now has "hire at the airport" cellphones, or inexpensive prepays I could buy for use during my sojourn there next month? How do the world travellers among you currently manage US communications when you go there? Thanks in advance! cheers, peter ============================================ Peter Hyde, SPIS Ltd, Christchurch, New Zealand Vote for us at the 2002 Webby Awards: http://SciTechDaily.com/webby.htm --> via Canterbury Software email forum: Success through Connections Email your messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Searchable list archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Leave or rejoin the list: http://canterburysoftware.org.nz/forum.htm --> via Canterbury Software email forum: Success through Connections Email your messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Searchable list archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Leave or rejoin the list: http://canterburysoftware.org.nz/forum.htm
