Kia ora,

I've just been speaking to Vodaphone at Auckland airport (09 275 8154). The phone hire starts from $7.14/day. Call rates are $7.50/minute to NZ, $7:70/minute to receive calls from NZ, about $5.20/minute for internal US calls.

This is a little rich for me - I'll be interested to see what sort of price the US phones are to hire from LAX.

Thanks Simon and others who responded. For now, I'm investigating in-
US hire options (and look forward to hearing what Shaun finds out
about Vodaphone hires here).

cheers,
