Coincidentally, I was speaking to the Chch Airport folks -- their prices were about $10/day for month-long rentals which also adds up pretty quickly, let alone the call rates. I also checked out http://www.pracom.co.nz which Leeanne had recommended, but they no longer do "consumer" products (sold the division May 1 to an Oz company, no local contact info). And, for the record, Keith's "021 worked for me in the US last year" is quite correct IF you have the right TRIPLE-band 021 phone to suit the US network. Most/all earlier Vodaphone models were double-band, and can't do it, hence the gouging rental prices on offer at the airports. Thus, like Shaun, I'm interested in ex-US airport (or rental car agency) rental pricing now... cheers, peter ============================================ Peter Hyde, SPIS Ltd, Christchurch, New Zealand Vote for us at the 2002 Webby Awards: http://SciTechDaily.com/webby.htm --> via Canterbury Software email forum: Success through Connections Email your messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Searchable list archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Leave or rejoin the list: http://canterburysoftware.org.nz/forum.htm
