Hi David, I happen to be following this post closely, since Phoebe seems to have all the questions I had.
I validated all my pages, with the validate site, both html & css, fixed many mistakes I have and learned a lot! (the only thing that didn't pass the validation was the rss on this page: http://homepage.mac.com/cynvill_3/website/journalism.html (latest articles) but I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I guess I can leave it for now...)
