If you set a reasonable overall maximum width in em, with lines neither too
narrow nor too wide, also measured in em, then the giant display user would
have to be using an even more gigantic font size in order for his whole
screen width to be filled. The same applies with mini laptop users, who would
also have to be using a disproportionately large font size for the content
not to fit in the available space without horizontal scrolling.
