That would be "irreligious movement", I believe. Better than a
religious movement, a bowel movement, the usual social demagoguery,
eh? "We're no longer just a movement, we're a revolution -- and
we've got what it takes to kick some irrational butt!" Yowser...
I seem to recall Tom Jefferson writing something about the need to
have a new revolution every 20 years or so. Maybe it's time for
a revolution to kick wishful/magical thinking out of public life,
eh? Or are godless ethics more than most people can handle?
Amherst isn't really the right place for an antiVatican, though.
I'd nominate Provincetown. Better situated.
